The Fryderyk Chopin Institute

The Fryderyk Chopin Institute organises numerous concerts and events dedicated to the life and work of Poland’s greatest composer. The most important event under ORLEN’s patronage is the Chopin Competition – one of the world’s most prestigious classical music events, attracting music lovers and performers from across the globe. The collaboration also includes support for the international festival Chopin and His Europe, as well as the Birthday Concerts and Requiem Concerts.

With future generations in mind, the Fryderyk Chopin Institute organises the National Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, which promotes young Polish pianists. It also presents a series of Young Talents recitals in Żelazowa Wola and Young Talents concerts at the Fryderyk Chopin Museum.

As the Institute’s exclusive Patron, ORLEN supports the acquisition of works related to the composer. Through our involvement, the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw has been enriched with the composer’s manuscripts – two letters and the exceptional Ballade in G minor, inspired by the ballads of Adam Mickiewicz.

The most significant event in 2025 will be the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. The composer’s work represents an integral part of Poland’s national heritage and serves as a cultural hallmark of the country worldwide. By supporting the Fryderyk Chopin Institute, we not only promote Polish culture but also strengthen the international position of the ORLEN brand.
