The Nationwide Agreement of Universities of the Third Age Foundation
Since 2008, the Nationwide Agreement of Universities of the Third Age Foundation has been actively supporting the development and integration of Universities of the Third Age both in Poland and abroad. Its mission is to promote initiatives that support older adults and to assist non-governmental organisations working on their behalf.
In 2025, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Professor Halina Szwarc University of the Third Age, the Foundation will implement a programme encompassing regional, national, and international initiatives. The main objective of the programme is to promote the intellectual, social, and creative potential of seniors in Poland and to showcase the 50-year legacy of the U3A movement.
The culmination of the programme will be the 4th Grand Congress of Universities of the Third Age, scheduled for May 2025 at the Grand Theatre – Polish National Opera.
As part of ORLEN’s partnership with the Foundation, a lecture will be organised by experts from the Sustainability and Energy Transition Office. The lecture will focus on issues related to sustainable development, highlighting its importance for future generations and its impact on various aspects of social and economic life.
