ORLEN S.A. – Upstream Polska Sanok Branch produces crude oil and natural gas in four provinces in south‑eastern Poland, as well as in the Silesian Voivodeship.
We supply more than 30% of the country’s high‑methane natural gas production, which is delivered to the national gas transmission system and, to a lesser extent, to local end users. Crude oil is sold directly to refineries. The future of our Branch is closely linked to the development of new natural gas structures, underground gas storage, and further successful exploration.
In addition to its core activities related to the production of natural gas and crude oil, the Branch also operates underground gas storage facilities. It manages four active storage sites located in depleted natural gas reservoirs, with a total working capacity of 1,135 million m³ (Husów, Strachocina, Swarzów, Brzeźnica).
