The Energa Foundation

Established in 2009, in 2011 the Energa Foundation was granted the status of a public benefit organisation. The organisation’s mission embodies a profound commitment to aiding fellow human beings through financial support.

With a primary focus on individuals facing adversity due to circumstances beyond their control and organisations working for their benefit, the Foundation extends its support to the Energa Group’s employees, their relatives and friends, offering assistance in times of need. Responding promptly to the aftermath of natural disasters, the Foundation subsidises the purchase of life-saving equipment and aids victims in rebuilding their lives. It engages in numerous projects and partners in nationwide initiatives, reaching remote locations, to meet the challenges of poverty, exclusion, loneliness and fading hope. Each encounter with an individual in need serves as a valuable lesson.

The Energa Foundation provides its support to a broad spectrum of recipients, including children, adults, and the elderly, as well as legal entities such as non-governmental organisations, foundations, medical and healthcare establishments, institutions of education and culture, as well as emergency services, i.e. entities dedicated to helping the disabled, the sick and those in need. The Foundation plays a role in supporting victims of accidents and individuals afflicted by severe illnesses, such as cancer, heart attacks, strokes with cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, severe multi-organ injuries, or the Down syndrome. Funding is directed towards systematic rehabilitation, medical treatments, surgeries, the purchase of essential medical and rehabilitation equipment, or life-saving medicines.

Demonstrating a well-rounded approach to philanthropy, the Energa Foundation supports various sports, patriotic, historical, cultural and charitable initiatives, focusing on local-level social integration efforts.
