Meeting with experts responsible for security and civil protection

The implementation of the New Chemistry project was presented to experts responsible for protecting the population and environment in Płock and the district. Stakeholders were invited based on the identification of vulnerable groups whose decisions and opinions affect the perception of the Company. 

The construction of the installation complex was presented to representatives of institutions involved in ensuring the safety of the local community in Płock and the district. From the Company’s side, the meeting was attended by the heads of the Olefins Production Intensification Office, the Petrochemical Production Area, the Environmental Protection Office, the Process Safety and Health and Safety Office, as well as representatives from the Corporate Fire Department, the Central Production Planning and Coordination Department and the Local Community Relations Team.

It was a meeting organized by the Company to inform the guests about the investment, but also about the principles of implementing the highest management standards in the area of safe work and environmental protection among workers and associates, contractors and subcontractors, business partners and suppliers working on the investment site. Representatives of local government administrations and services responsible for security and civil protection also learned about the state-of-the-art technology most beneficial in meeting environmental, business and technical goals. They also got answers to their questions about project implementation.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Provincial Inspectorate for Environmental Protection, the Office of Defence Affairs and Emergency Management of the County Head Office, the Department of Security and Emergency Management of the City of Płock, the State Fire Service, the City Police Station, the City Police and the Marshal Office of the Mazowieckie Province. Information on the construction of the petrochemical complex was also presented at a meeting of the Committee of Councillors of the City of Płock, as well as to the Councillors and Village Heads of the Stara Biała Municipality, where the investment project is underway.

The meetings provided an opportunity to exchange information, insights and comments on the project. Guests at each meeting were encouraged by Company representatives to ask questions related to the construction and operation of the Plant. The meetings were part of a series of meetings with key stakeholders defined in the Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP).
