ORLEN celebrated with the residents of the Stara Biała Municipality
An impressive laser show and the “ORLEN as a Good Neighbour” zone - the attractions we prepared for the 50th anniversary of the Stara Biała Municipality - kept the participants entertained. In this way, we promoted road safety among the local community members.
For visitors to the safety zone, we have prepared roofing and crash simulators, as well as eco-driving and WRC rally simulators. There were VR goggles used to teach pre-medical first aid and alcohol goggles used on an obstacle course and with a reflexometer for those who love technological innovation. For the youngest, there were cross-country bike competitions and numerous contests and games with prizes.
ORLEN has prepared a mobile chemistry laboratory, or a science bus, called “Be like Ignatius” for the young people living in the community. The science bus was accompanied by an additional booth with unique experiments using, inter alia, fire. You could see how special effects are created on the border of magic and science.
“The residents of our municipality are not only the immediate neighbours of ORLEN’s manufacturing plant, but they are also numerous employees of the company. So we are pleased that ORLEN has become involved in the organization of our festivities and actively participates in the life of our community,” concluded Sławomir Wawrzyński, Head of Stara Biała Municipality.
ORLEN’s participation in the jubilee celebrations of the Stara Biała Municipality was possible thanks to the “ORLEN as a Good Neighbour” programme, whose beneficiaries are local communities. The programme aims to build lasting and positive relations with them, based on partnership, honesty, respect and trust, which are derived from an openness to the needs of the environment in which the Group’s manufacturing facilities operate.
