PKN ORLEN selected new suppliers of esters
PKN ORLEN is continuing to meet the 2008 national bio-fuel target. The Company has signed a contract for supplies of esters for diesel production and for distribution as a self-contained fuel.
Between 16th April and 31st December 2008 the selected companies will supply approximately 180,000 tonnes of esters.
the key supplier for PKN ORLEN in 2008 will be Trzebinia Refinery from the ORLEN Group. The remaining volumes in 2008 will be secured by Bioenergia Sieradz Sp. z o.o., Biopaliwa S.A., Eco-Motion GmbH, Verbio STS AG, Agropodnik a.s, Biowerk GmbH, Wratislavia – Bio sp. z o.o. and Rapsveredelung Vorpommern GmbH&Co.KG. The supplies have been selected in a tender opened by PKN ORLEN at the end of 2007.

PKN ORLEN will produce Rapeseed Methyl Esters (RME) which ensure best quality out of all kinds of esters. The use of esters reduces emission of green house gases and has a positive effect on natural environment.
