ORLEN as the sponsor of motorsport

Motorsport disciplines are closely linked to ORLEN’s core business operations. For this reason, the Company has long supported Polish drivers as well as young, aspiring motorsport talents. ORLEN’s sponsorship efforts are founded on active involvement across a broad spectrum of motorsport disciplines.

ORLEN Team brings together the leading drivers and, since 2024, also other individual athletes supported by ORLEN. The team’s key driver is Robert Kubica, who competed for Williams Racing in the elite Formula 1 series in 2019. From 2020 to 2022, he served as a reserve and development driver for Alfa Romeo Racing – with ORLEN as the title sponsor – while also competing in endurance racing, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In the 2024 season, the Polish driver raced in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) behind the wheel of a Ferrari hypercar, as well as in the European Le Mans Series.

Since 2020, ORLEN Team has also included Bartosz Zmarzlik, a five-time speedway World Champion (2019, 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024). Representing ORLEN Oil Motor Lublin, he has also won the World Team Championship (2023) and the European Championship (2022 and 2023).

The Company has also marked its presence in the F1H2O World Championship – the powerboat racing world series – by supporting Bartłomiej Marszałek, the only Polish competitor in this discipline. A member of ORLEN Team since 2020, he has achieved major successes, including a Grand Prix victory on Lake Toba in Indonesia in 2023 and second- and third-place finishes at the Sharjah Grand Prix the previous year.

ORLEN also supports rally drivers competing in international events. Kajetan Kajetanowicz has consistently remained on the podium in the World Rally Championship, where he currently competes in the WRC2 Challenger category. The Company also supports Mikołaj Marczyk, one of the most promising young rally drivers in Poland.

For more than a decade, the ORLEN Team Academy has provided financial support to the most talented young drivers. Its main objective is to enable drivers and motorcyclists to develop their skills and gain experience on racetracks around the world, preparing them to join leading teams in the most prestigious racing series and to represent Poland internationally. Members of the Academy include Kacper Sztuka, Maciej Gładysz, Jan Przyrowski and Borys Łyżeń.
