ORLEN as the sponsor of Polish volleyball
Since 2012, ORLEN has been actively engaged in the development of Polish volleyball, supporting both the men’s and women’s senior national teams in indoor and beach volleyball, as well as the youth national teams. In recent years, Polish volleyball players have achieved remarkable success, winning World Championship titles in 2014 and 2018, and European Championship titles in 2009 and 2023. In 2023, the men’s national team won the Nations League, while the women’s team secured third place. At the Olympic Games in Paris, the team led by Nikola Grbić claimed silver medals, marking the first Olympic podium finish for the Polish volleyball team in 48 years.
ORLEN is also the sponsor of ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, a nine-time Polish champion that won the Champions League three consecutive times between 2021 and 2023. The Company supports young, talented athletes from across the country, including those affiliated with the Volleyball Training Centres – an initiative of the Polish Volleyball Federation (PZPS) and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, implemented in cooperation with local governments.
