ORLEN as the sponsor of sporting events

ORLEN is the Main Sponsor of the Tour de Pologne – a race that is part of the UCI World Tour, ranked among the five most prestigious cycling events in the world, and which celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2023. The competition is one of Poland’s most distinguished sporting events, attracting the world’s leading professional teams and riders. In 2024, after an eight-year break, the Tour de Pologne Women was reinstated.

Together with Lang Team, the organiser of the event, ORLEN also develops the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs, giving amateur cyclists the opportunity to compete on sections of the professional race route. The event promotes cycling at the amateur level and encourages physical activity. The Company is also the Title Sponsor of the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix, a race that forms part of the prestigious UCI Under 23 Nations’ Cup series, which brings together the most talented young cyclists from around the world.

In 2024, the Company was the Title Sponsor of the 80th ORLEN Rally Poland, which returned to the World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar after a seven-year hiatus. Originating in 1921, the rally was held on gravel routes in Mikołajki and is the second-oldest rally in the world. Its anniversary edition drew large crowds of motorsport enthusiasts.

ORLEN is also present in the field of athletics, as demonstrated by its involvement in two major events – the Copernicus Cup competition in Toruń and the ORLEN Cup in Łódź. The former is included in the IAAF World Indoor Tour calendar, while the latter forms part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour Bronze series of indoor competitions organised under the auspices of World Athletics.
