Circular economy initiatives

Cost-effectiveness in the circular economy

We collect, integrate and support initiatives aimed at optimising and improving processes. Through the Koliber Programme, we focus on cost efficiency by optimising the procurement of raw materials and services and reducing waste.

At the ORLEN Group, we run the Koliber programme, an initiative aimed at employees that supports the streamlining of operational activities and the standardisation of initiatives designed to boost efficiency and improve processes.

The programme is based on the active involvement of employees. Through a dedicated app – in a simple and intuitive way – it enables employees to submit ideas relating to their area of work. The results of our efforts are demonstrated within the programme’s ecosystem, including through the optimisation of raw material and service procurement and the reduction of waste.

In 2025, projects related to the circular economy were carried out as part of the Koliber programme. At Energa Wytwarzanie S.A., wind turbine gearboxes were reconditioned using the company’s own resources, which reduced the need to purchase new parts, lowered costs and shortened the downtime of the turbines undergoing repair.

At IKS Solino S.A., the production process for salt tablets was optimised, enabling the reuse of approximately 80% of salt waste that previously had no use.
