In line with ORLEN Group 2035 Strategy, one of the ORLEN Group’s objectives is to expand our installed recycling capacity. At the REMAQ plant, owned by ORLEN Unipetrol, we give new life to waste plastic.
At this state-of-the-art facility, we carry out mechanical recycling based on sorting, cleaning, shredding and reusing polypropylene, polyethylene and polystyrene, without altering their chemical composition. The resulting regranulate can be used to manufacture, amongst other things, bottles, films, packaging, insulation materials and technical components. Thanks to four regranulation lines, we are able to produce up to 50,000 tonnes of material per year.
At the same time, we are investing in projects and start-ups developing advanced hybrid recycling technologies for plastics.
