PKN ORLEN sponsors the Earth Day Picnic in Poland
As a refinery and petrochemical company it is PKN ORLEN’s priority to feel responsible for environmental protection through ensuring that its products, petrol stations and the production facilities are environmentally friendly. Therefore, the Company is proud to be the sponsor of the Earth Day Picnic.
The Earth Day Great Final will take place on 25 April 2004 in Warsaw. For the fourth time PKN ORLEN is supporting the event, this year organized under the theme “the Earth’s Abundances”.
“We should all care about the beauty of our planet, preservation of endangered species of fauna and flora as well as the air’s cleanness. These are the earth’s abundances and we should protect and look after them with a particular care and devotion.” – it reads on the invitation to the Sunday’s festive.
According to ecologists, Poland offers natural environment areas which are absolutely unique in Europe. The country has 23 national parks and is home to around 33,000 species of animals and around 39,000 species of plants. The Earth Day festival offers a range of attractions for both children and their parents.
