The Second Edition of the Grant Fund for Plock
Today the City Hall of Plock witnessed the official commencement of the Second Edition of the Grant Fund for Plock with a pool of PLN 1.2m.
The Second Edition meeting, concluded with a signature of agreement on granting the financial resources, marks the continuation of the partnership initiated in 2003 by the City of Plock, PKN ORLEN, Levi’s and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Last year the partners contributed PLN 1.3m to the Fund, of which PKN ORLEN allocated over the third of the amount.
The new edition of the Grant Fund is addressed to Plock-based, non-governmental organizations capable of proving successful implementation of ideas that involve, among others, financially sponsored areas such as:
• Citizens' educational upgrade;
• Public safety improvement in city;
• Protection of cultural heritage;
• Public aid quality upgrade;
• Rise in environmental awareness;
• Upgrade of Plock as an attractive city;
• Enhancement of the town economic environment.
The Fund's financial resources can cover up to 50 per cent of the project total budget but it cannot exceed PLN 40,000. The projects ought to be performed between July and December 2004. The Fund finances cannot be utilzed for research and devolpment programmes, official tutorial projects, scholarship and permanent supporting of institutions (procurement of equipment, repairs and overhauls, rental fees and exploiting of rooms).
