PKN ORLEN a partner of AIESEC Congress
This year’s summit, to be held in Warsaw between 24.08 and 3.09, will host around 700 students from 95 countries and 500 members of the AIESEC organization. The participants will have an opportunity to share their views on education, energy, finance, health or CSR at numerous discussion panels and seminars. The disputes over issues which are perceived as threats or opportunities to the world’s development are expected also to involve business leaders as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations.
PKN ORLEN, as a company sensitive to and aware of the problems facing modern civilization, will also take part in a discussion panel regarding energy issues. On 28.09 Jan Maciejewicz, Vice-President of PKN ORLEN, will discuss challenges for energy management and sector responsibilities. The panel discussion, which will be chaired by Ms Susana Mohammad, is scheduled for 4.30 – 6.30 pm at the Warsaw Agricultural University.
- As an international company we need to take a broader, rather than a regional, view of the world’s problems, therefore we have decided to support AIESEC in organising the Congress. I think that, as a major player in such a strategic industry, we are obliged to engage in discussion on problems which will sooner or later become part of our world, especially in the global economy. I believe that open debate will help towards the discovery of proper solutions, that is why I am happy to be in a discussion on energy issues - said Jan Maciejewicz.
AIESEC, the world's largest student organization, is the international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential so as to have a positive impact on society.
In addition to providing over 5,000 leadership positions and delivering over 350 conferences, AIESEC also runs an exchange program that enables over 3,500 students and recent graduates to have an opportunity to live and work in another country.
