The Best IR Award for PKN ORLEN
PKN ORLEN has been awarded the special title “The Best IR Services” at the prestigious “Bull and Bear” ranking by Parkiet, the Polish stock exchange’s official daily newspaper.
The “Bull and Bear” statuettes have been awarded by Parkiet for 12 years to outstanding listed companies, institutions and individuals connected with the capital markets.
The strategy of value creating announced in 2005 and updated in 2006 as well as the principles of corporate governance adopted last year constitutes the pillar of PKN ORLEN’s IR. On a regular basis, PKN ORLEN informs the markets with financial results, information on strategic progress, investment and M&A projects. The Company also regularly discloses short- and long-term development plans. Moreover, PKN ORLEN utilizes modern communication skills including live web casting of press briefings and shareholder meetings.
In December 2005 PKN ORLEN was ranked among Poland’s leading companies for its corporate governance compliance. In the rankings published by Polskie Forum Corporate Governance PKN ORLEN received an A note rating, which proves the quality of the changes introduced by the Company.
PKN ORLEN’s IR has also been recognized as amongst the best of Poland’s listed companies in the WarsawScan 2005 survey conducted by NBS Public Relations. PKN ORLEN was also praised for the quality of its disclosure, reliability, transparency, and the accessibility of its IR staff.
