Meeting at the Embassy of Lithuania
Yesterday, representatives of the Government of Lithuania, PKN ORLEN and the Polish State Treasury met at the Embassy of Lithuania in Warsaw to discuss the timetable for the acquisition of assets of the Mazeikiu Nafta. Talks were also held on the preparation of documents, necessary for the European Commission to give its consent to the transaction.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania stressed significance of the transaction for the Polish – Lithuanian relationship, and ensured that the change of the government in Lithuania would not impede the process of changing the owner in Mazeikiu Nafta.
PKN ORLEN presented preparatory work on the integration of the assets. During the meeting the Parties also discussed issues regarding crude oil supplies to Mazeikiu Nafta, expressing their confidence over undertakings in this respect.
