More diesel and petrol from AB Mazeikiu Nafta
AB Mazeikiu Nafta has resumed operations of its visbreaking unit. The installation start-up completed the second stage of the post-fire recovery, and increased the white products yield from the same crude volume.
It took 5 months for AB Nazeiku Nafta ,with the help of 10 Lithuanian and Polish companies, to repair and replace the elements destroyed in a fire in October 2006. A newly started visbraking installation generates lower volumes of heavy products, in favour of the extra streams of white products from the heavy vacuum residue. As a result AB Mazeikiu Nafta can now produce more light and medium products, especially diesel and petroleum.
