Start-up of the Olefin Plant II
Today, at 3.30 am, PKN ORLEN began the start-up of the Olefin Plant II which is scheduled to proceed until 10 pm on 4th August 2008. The operation is resulting in a bigger and more intense flame and noise from the flare.
The above is typical for the start-up of olefin plants and results in no danger to employees or the inhabitants of Plock.
