Candidate of Mr. Stanislaw Wedler for the independent member of the PKN ORLEN Supervisory Board
Today, PKN ORLEN shareholder, AIG OFE (pension fund) informed the Company about its intention to propose candidate of Mr. Stanislaw Wedler for the independent member of the PKN ORLEN Supervisory Board at the Ordinary General Meeting of the Company convened for 30 June 2009.
In the opinion of AIG OFE the competences and experience, especially in restructuring of business entities, achieved by Mr. Stanislaw Wedler will allow him to make an important contribution to works of PKN ORLEN Supervisory Board. Mr. Stanislaw Wedler has managerial experience in commercial companies and state administration entities. Currently Mr. Stanislaw Wedler is the President of the Management Board and General Director of Wydawnictwa Szkolne i Pedagogiczne S.A.
AIG OFE has also informed that Mr. Stanislaw Wedler has agreed to be a candidate for the PKN ORLEN Supervisory Board, and has given a written statement that he fulfills the requirements for an independent member of the Supervisory Board.
