The ranking is compiled by Platts, the leading global provider of energy information.

The “TOP 250 Global Energy Company 2010” list has been compiled on the basis of a thorough analysis of the 2009 financial performance, taking into account in particular the value of assets, revenues, profits and returns on invested capital.

- The ranking confirms PKN ORLEN’s prominent position both on the European and global arena. Its results go to show that the largest Polish firm is becoming increasingly more recognisable and that the effects of its activity are increasingly more visible in the global dimension - said Jacek Krawiec, President of PKN ORLEN’s Management Board.

- We hope that the successful completion of our energy generation and production plans will propel us further up the ranking in the future - he added.
