Changes in Supervisory Board & Managemant
At its meeting on March 6th 2012, the Supervisory Board of PKN ORLEN appointed Mr Piotr Chełmiński to the position of Member of the Management Board in charge of Petrochemical Operations. Mr Chełmiński currently serves as President of the Management Board of the Czech-based petrochemical holding company UNIPETROL, an ORLEN Group member.
The new Management Board Member will take office on March 10th. The Supervisory Board of PKN ORLEN also permitted Mr Chełmiński to sit on the Management Board of UNIPETROL a.s., a subsidiary of PKN ORLEN S.A., without the right to remuneration.
Mr Chełmiński graduated from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW); he also completed a post-graduate programme at Wyższa Szkoła Zarządzania i Marketingu w Warszawie (currently Wyższa Szkoła Zarządzania i Prawa im. Heleny Chodkowskiej – the Chodkowska University).
Mr Chełmiński has many years of experience serving on management boards of Polish and foreign companies, including listed names. Since December 10th 2009, he has been President of the Management Board of the largest Czech petrochemical holding company, UNIPETROL a.s., an ORLEN Group member. Earlier, from 1995, Mr Chełmiński held middle and senior management as well as supervisory positions at Gamet Holdings S.A. Luxembourg, Eckes Granini GmbH & Co. KG, Kamis-Przyprawy, Browar Dojlidy and Okocimskie Zakłady Piwowarskie S.A.
