New CEO appointed at UNIPETROL

The Management Board was also joined by Andrzej Kozłowski, until now a member of the Unipetrol Supervisory Board. By decision of the Supervisory Board, the position of Vice-President of the Management Board was taken by Piotr Wielowieyski. Following these changes, the Unipetrol Management Board comprises:

Martin Durčák – Member of the Management Board

Mirosław Kastelik – Member of the Management Board

Artur Paździor – Member of the Management Board

Andrzej Kozłowski – Member of the Management Board

Marek Świtajewski is a graduate of the Gdynia Maritime University. His professional career began with Lucent Technologies, where he worked until 2000. He transferred to Nortel Networks to manage projects and project implementations in Central Europe, Israel, Turkey. He was appointed Operations Executive for Eastern Europe, and – subsequently – President of the Management Board of Nortel Networks Polska. He continued his employment with Nortel Networks for six years. In 2006–2007, he co-founded and served as President of Global Contact and Instytut Szkoleń i Analiz Gospodarczych (Economic Training and Research Institute). He concurrently held the position of Technical Director at TP EmiTel from 2006 to 2010. In 2010–2011, he sat on the UNIPETROL RPA Management Board as member responsible for process optimisation. From 2011 to 2012, he was President of the Management Board of Ceska Rafinerska. In 2012, he was appointed to the Management Board of UNIPETROL a.s. and served as its Vice-President from September 2012.

Andrzej Kozłowski graduated from Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu National-Louis University in Nowy Sącz and completed an MBA course in Corporate Strategy & Industrial Policy at the Maastricht School of Management. With PKN ORLEN S.A. since 2009, he has held the position of Executive Director for Strategy and Project Management and, until today, the position of member of the Supervisory Board of Unipetrol a.s. He also sits on the Supervisory Board of ORLEN Upstream Sp. z o.o. Prior to joining PKN ORLEN, he had spent 10 years working in the telecommunications, media and new technologies sector. At the beginning of his career in 1998 he worked for consultancies American Management Systems (currently CGI) and Avantis Consulting Group. He was involved in projects deployed in Portugal, Germany, US and Poland. Between 2001 and 2005 and again between 2006 and 2009, Andrzej Kozłowski worked for the TP Group as a person in charge of strategy, project management and regulatory relations. In 2005–2006 he was employed at Prokom S.A.
