ORLEN opens its seventh hydrogen refuelling station, located in Gdynia

ORLEN has opened its seventh publicly accessible hydrogen refuelling station in Poland. Located at ul. Wielkopolska 239 in Gdynia, the facility serves passenger cars, buses and trucks. The investment marks another milestone in the expansion of Poland’s hydrogen infrastructure, supporting the development of low-emission transport and the implementation of the ORLEN Group’s hydrogen strategy.

Stable performance from the ORLEN Group alongside the lowest fuel prices in the European Union

The ORLEN Group closed the first quarter of 2026 with solid financial results. LIFO-based EBITDA reached PLN 14.1 billion, revenue stood at PLN 75.8 billion, and net profit came in at PLN 8.1 billion, driven by high operational efficiency and growing sales volumes across all key products. The Group’s sound financial position enabled the Management Board to recommend a record dividend totalling PLN 9.3 billion. At the same time, in the first three months of the year ORLEN spent PLN 5.4 billion on investments aimed at enhancing energy security and expanding modern zero- and low-carbon energy sources.

ORLEN launches HVO plant to produce 300 thousand tonnes of biofuels annually from domestic feedstocks

ORLEN has significantly expanded its biofuel production capacity with the launch of a state-of-the-art hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) plant in Płock with a rated annual output of around 300 thousand tonnes. The investment strengthens a domestic value chain based on locally sourced feedstocks while supporting the decarbonisation of transport. Valued at more than PLN 800 million, the facility will also reduce the Group’s reliance on third-party suppliers of biofuel blending components.

ORLEN moves to the next level of digitalisation with Amazon Web Services

The ORLEN Group has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate its digital and energy transformation. The agreement centres on the use of modern cloud computing technologies to improve operational efficiency, increase flexibility and speed up the rollout of innovation across the organisation.

ORLEN: The Eirin field is already supplying gas to Poland

ORLEN Upstream Norway and Equinor, the operator, have started production from a new field in the North Sea. At peak output, Eirin will deliver around 270 million cubic meters of gas per year to ORLEN. Production is carried out using installations powered by electricity from renewable energy sources.

ORLEN Announces North Sea Discovery in the Sleipner Area

ORLEN Upstream Norway, together with operator Equinor and partner Vår Energi, has confirmed a gas and condensate discovery in the Sleipner Area. The resources at the Frida Kahlo prospect are estimated at 7.2 million barrels of oil equivalent. The partners plan to bring the discovery into production in the first half of 2026.

ORLEN powers ahead in electric mobility, to add 160 new fast-charging points in Germany

ORLEN commits to expanding its electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Under an cooperation signed with Bela (Bartels-Langness Handelsgesellschaft) in Germany, up to 160 new high-power ORLEN Charge points will be installed by the end of 2026. The fast chargers, offering capacities of up to 400 kW, will be located at prime sites, including Famila and Markant stores owned by Bela.
