ORLEN Announces Gas Discovery in the North Sea

ORLEN Upstream Norway, in partnership with Equinor, has discovered new natural gas resources on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The company expects to produce approximately 1 billion cubic meters of gas from the Sissel discovery, which will be transported to Poland via the Baltic Pipe.

Stable year for small-scale LNG supplies

In 2025, ORLEN further consolidated its position in small-scale LNG supplies, delivering more than 245 thousand tonnes of liquefied natural gas to customers. This volume would be sufficient to supply all households in cities with populations of about 200 thousand for almost five years. The LNG was sourced primarily from the Świnoujście terminal, as well as from the small-scale LNG reloading facility at the Klaipėda terminal and the Group’s own production assets. Transported by road tankers, the fuel is supplied to various customers, including private consumers and businesses in areas with limited access to the national gas grid.

ORLEN Secures New Licenses on the Norwegian Continental Shelf

ORLEN Upstream Norway has been offered stakes in six new exploration and production licenses by the Norwegian Ministry of Energy, following the APA 2025 licensing round. One of these licenses could be a game-changer, unlocking new opportunities for gas production in Norway.

ORLEN Expands Production as New Różańsko Field Comes on Stream

ORLEN has commenced production at the Różańsko natural gas field in the West Pomeranian region, which holds estimated reserves of 1.2 bcm. The development is linked to the ongoing expansion of the Dębno Oil and Gas Extraction Facility, enabling increased output from other producing fields in the area.

ORLEN Expands in Norway with New Field Acquisitions and Development Project

ORLEN’s Norwegian subsidiary has completed the purchase of equity in the Albuskjell and Vest Ekofisk fields in the North Sea, adding approximately 8 million barrels of oil equivalent to its resource base. Both fields, together with Tommeliten Gamma, are part of the Previously Produced Fields (PPF) Project which has been recently sanctioned for development. Once brought online, those three fields will increase ORLEN Upstream Norway production by 420 million cubic meters of gas annually.

ORLEN increases its gas and oil reserves. Company acquires interests in the North Sea Field

ORLEN Upstream Norway has entered into an agreement with TotalEnergies EP Norge to acquire interests in the Tommeliten Gamma field, located in the Ekofisk region of the North Sea. Finalization of the transaction will increase ORLEN’s reserves by approximately 6 million barrels of oil equivalent. Production from the fields is expected to commence in 2029.

ORLEN starts up Andvare Field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf

ORLEN Upstream Norway has launched production from the Andvare field, increasing the number of producing assets in its portfolio to twenty-one. Andvare is expected to supply ORLEN with approximately 300 million cubic metres of natural gas.

ORLEN signs first long-term oil supply contract with Equinor

ORLEN has signed a contract with Equinor for the supply of more than 6 million tonnes of crude oil from the Johan Sverdrup field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The contracted volume will cover about 15% of the ORLEN Group’s annual oil demand. Deliveries under this first annual contract with the Norwegian company will begin in September.

ORLEN Increases Gas Production in Norway by 500 Million Cubic Meters

ORLEN Upstream Norway, together with its partners, has completed the third phase of development of the Ormen Lange field in the Norwegian Sea. The project introduced innovative technical solutions to significantly boost the field’s gas production rate. ORLEN expects its share of gas from Ormen Lange to increase by approximately 0.5 billion cubic meters per year during peak output period.
