ORLEN Expands Production as New Różańsko Field Comes on Stream

ORLEN has commenced production at the Różańsko natural gas field in the West Pomeranian region, which holds estimated reserves of 1.2 bcm. The development is linked to the ongoing expansion of the Dębno Oil and Gas Extraction Facility, enabling increased output from other producing fields in the area.

ORLEN Expands in Norway with New Field Acquisitions and Development Project

ORLEN’s Norwegian subsidiary has completed the purchase of equity in the Albuskjell and Vest Ekofisk fields in the North Sea, adding approximately 8 million barrels of oil equivalent to its resource base. Both fields, together with Tommeliten Gamma, are part of the Previously Produced Fields (PPF) Project which has been recently sanctioned for development. Once brought online, those three fields will increase ORLEN Upstream Norway production by 420 million cubic meters of gas annually.

ORLEN increases its gas and oil reserves. Company acquires interests in the North Sea Field

ORLEN Upstream Norway has entered into an agreement with TotalEnergies EP Norge to acquire interests in the Tommeliten Gamma field, located in the Ekofisk region of the North Sea. Finalization of the transaction will increase ORLEN’s reserves by approximately 6 million barrels of oil equivalent. Production from the fields is expected to commence in 2029.

ORLEN starts up Andvare Field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf

ORLEN Upstream Norway has launched production from the Andvare field, increasing the number of producing assets in its portfolio to twenty-one. Andvare is expected to supply ORLEN with approximately 300 million cubic metres of natural gas.

ORLEN signs first long-term oil supply contract with Equinor

ORLEN has signed a contract with Equinor for the supply of more than 6 million tonnes of crude oil from the Johan Sverdrup field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The contracted volume will cover about 15% of the ORLEN Group’s annual oil demand. Deliveries under this first annual contract with the Norwegian company will begin in September.

ORLEN Increases Gas Production in Norway by 500 Million Cubic Meters

ORLEN Upstream Norway, together with its partners, has completed the third phase of development of the Ormen Lange field in the Norwegian Sea. The project introduced innovative technical solutions to significantly boost the field’s gas production rate. ORLEN expects its share of gas from Ormen Lange to increase by approximately 0.5 billion cubic meters per year during peak output period.

ORLEN: significant oil discovery in the North Sea

ORLEN Upstream Norway, together with operator Aker BP and other license partners, has achieved a significant oil discovery, with estimated resources of up to 134 million barrels of oil equivalent. This marks the largest discovery on the Norwegian Continental Shelf this year. Its development will contribute to advancing the strategic objectives outlined in the ORLEN 2035 Strategy.

ORLEN announces a discovery on the Norwegian Continental Shelf

ORLEN Upstream Norway, a subsidiary of ORLEN SA, together with the license partners, has made a discovery within the Skarv area in the Norwegian Sea. The size of E-prospect discovery is currently estimated at 3-7 million barrels of oil. During the drilling, an additional discovery was made, with resources estimated between 1 and 2 million barrels of oil.

ORLEN Group reports record-high natural gas production from own reserves in 2024

In 2024, the ORLEN Group’s natural gas production across its operations in Poland and abroad reached 8.6 billion cubic meters, marking a 20% growth year on year. The Group’s revised strategy targets an increase in gas production volumes to 12 billion cubic meters by 2030, with plans to sustain this level through 2035.
