ORLEN and PGNiG have started drilling an exploratory well in Wielkopolska

Miłosław-5K/H exploratory well, drilled based on the license Kórnik-Środa (no. 32/96/p) for the exploration and appraisal of hydrocarbons is located in Winna Góra, in Środa Wielkopolska commune, średzki district, wielkopolskie voivodeship. The investment is carried out by PGNiG in cooperation with the PKN ORLEN’s upstream subsidary, FX Energy incorporated into the ORLEN Group by the end of 2015. Joint operations are performed with regard to the operator agreement. PGNiG owns 51% of shares and FX Energy remaining 49% of shares.

ORLEN Group 2015 Integrated Report now available online

The financial, production, human, intellectual, social and natural capitals form the basis for modern, non-standard presentation of the ORLEN Group’s operations in its 2015 Integrated Report, published today. Following very good reception of last year’s first edition of the Integrated Report, recognised in four categories of the Best Annual Report award, the scope of information reported this year was expanded to include non-financial activities of the ORLEN Group companies.

Metathesis project approved for execution

The annual propylene output of PKN ORLEN’s Production Plant in Płock will be increased by 100 thousand tonnes, as one of its key petrochemical projects has been approved by the Management and Supervisory Boards and is entering the execution stage. The project will increase the Płock Plant’s propylene production to 550 thousand tonnes per year.

ORLEN eurobonds on Warsaw Stock Exchange

The largest issue of investment grade corporate eurobonds makes its debut today on the Catalyst markets of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The securities were issued by ORLEN Capital AB, PKN ORLEN’s Swedish subsidiary, in June 2016. So far, they have been listed only on the Dublin stock exchange.

Construction of CCGT unit in Włocławek − new arrangements

PKN ORLEN concluded with the consortium of companies (General Electric International Inc. acting via General Electric International S.A., office in Poland and SNC-LAVALIN POLSKA sp. z o.o.) an annex to the agreement for building power plant in Wloclawek. The Annex defines further steps related to defects detected during commissioning.

PGNiG and ORLEN expand the area of Exploration and Production cooperation

PGNiG and ORLEN Upstream, a subsidiary from the ORLEN Group, signed a Letter of Intent on cooperation in exploration, development and production of hydrocarbons in new areas in Poland. The companies express the will to cooperate in the following regions: the Pomeranian Basin, the Lublin Basin, the Fore-Sudetic Monocline, the Gorzów Block, the Carpathian Foreland, and the Carpathians.

A resolution to merge ORLEN Upstream International with ORLEN Upstream was passed

By the decision of the Shareholders’ Meeting of ORLEN Upstream a resolution was passed to accept a cross-border merger of ORLEN Upstream Sp. z o.o. (Acquiring Company), with its registered office in Warsaw, with ORLEN Upstream International B.V. (Acquired Company), with its registered office in Amsterdam, carried out in accordance with the Cross-Border Merger Plan approved on 28 April 2016.
