ORLEN Group companies ranked among top employers

For the twelfth time running, PKN ORLEN has been awarded the Top Employer Polska title recognising the country’s best employers. The ORLEN Group companies ANWIL and ORLEN Unipetrol were also featured in the prestigious ranking of companies meeting the highest global standards in HR policy.

The Top Employer certification is an annual thorough evaluation process, focusing on companies from all around the world and their HR management practices. Employers are certified by the Top Employers Institute experts based on the HR Best Practices Survey scrutinising their people practices. The questionnaire covers 20 areas, including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, training and learning, well-being, diversity and inclusion. A single methodology is applied to all survey participants to make sure that all certified organisations truly follow the highest global HR standards. All practices are also validated based on collected evidence, and the certification process ends with an independent audit conducted by external auditors.

- The potential of our people lies in their diversity. Being fully aware of that fact, we do our best to tap that potential so that it contributes to the company’s continuing growth. On the other hand, we are committed to creating the best possible working conditions by providing our employees with development opportunities and benefits best suited to their individual needs. Our twelfth consecutive Top Employer certification, which is awarded for one year only, is a confirmation that PKN ORLEN has taken the right direction, but at the same time it drives our organisation towards continuous improvement based on new solutions offered to our people - said Wioletta Kandziak, Executive Director of Human Resources at PKN ORLEN.

ANWIL has been featured in the prestigious ranking of Poland’s best employers for the fourth time running.

- Even in such difficult macroeconomic conditions, we remain determined to deliver a fully committed employee-centred human resources policy. This applies not only to fair remuneration and employee-friendly work environment, but also to creating favourable conditions for staff development. The fact that ANWIL has been awarded the Top Employer Polska title for the fourth time places the company in the prestigious group of the country’s best employers - said Agnieszka Żyro, CEO of ANWIL.

This year, for the first time ever, the Czech-based company ORLEN Unipetrol was also ranked in the Top Employer list, which shows that the entire ORLEN Group effectively delivers its people policy.

- Our HR efforts are successful and are duly recognised by independent experts. ORLEN Unipetrol has already received many awards, including Employer of the Year in the Ústí region and Employer of the Year among students. In 2022, we collected employee feedback during the employee satisfaction and engagement survey. Those takeaways will allow us to further improve our dialogue with the six thousands employees across all our markets, namely the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, and to create an attractive and safe workplace - said Michal Chmiel, HR Director of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group.

The Top Employer certification is a proof of a company’s commitment to creating a better work environment through adherence to high standards in HR management and people practices.

- Extraordinary times bring out the best in people and organisations alike. We saw it during this year’s Top Employers Certification Programme. Employers have shown that they truly care about the development and well-being of their employees. We are proud to announce and celebrate this year’s top people-oriented employers - said David Plink, Top Employers Institute’s CEO.

To date, the Top Employers programme has certified and recognised 2,053 best employers in 121 countries/regions on five continents. The companies successfully reviewed by the Institute and listed in the Top Employers ranking positively impact the lives of more than 9.5 million employees worldwide.
