The LOTOS Foundation had been in existence since 2015, changing its name to the ORLEN Foundation for Pomerania after LOTOS was incorporated into the ORLEN Group.
Aligned with the broader philanthropic initiatives orchestrated by ORLEN, the ORLEN Foundation for Pomerania plays a pivotal role in implementing the Group’s charitable policy. Its overarching mission is to undertake comprehensive CSR activities with a positive impact on the social and natural environment, with a keen focus on the local community of Pomerania (Province of Gdańsk). At the same time, the Foundation endeavours to build trust in and foster a positive image of the ORLEN Group.
The mission of the ORLEN Foundation for Pomerania, as stated in its charter, is to support events and initiatives spanning health care, culture, art, promotion of sports among children and young people as well as national heritage, including restoration of historical monuments and events highlighting the history of our country. It actively channels financial support to areas involving science, education and awareness raising. It helps with community projects, including construction of public facilities. An important area of interest for the ORLEN Foundation for Pomerania is safety, a commitment it pursues through the support of professional and volunteer firefighting units, which the Foundation equips with the necessary rescue gear.
