ORLEN Expands in Norway with New Field Acquisitions and Development Project

ORLEN’s Norwegian subsidiary has completed the purchase of equity in the Albuskjell and Vest Ekofisk fields in the North Sea, adding approximately 8 million barrels of oil equivalent to its resource base. Both fields, together with Tommeliten Gamma, are part of the Previously Produced Fields (PPF) Project which has been recently sanctioned for development. Once brought online, those three fields will increase ORLEN Upstream Norway production by 420 million cubic meters of gas annually.

Orlen takes control of key petrochemical unit in deal with Synthos

ORLEN has signed an agreement with Synthos to acquire full ownership of S54, the company developing a new butadiene extraction unit. Once completed, the unit will become an integral part of ORLEN’s Production Plant in Płock, allowing the Group to preserve an extended petrochemical value chain. The transaction, valued at approximately PLN 692 million, together with a package of accompanying agreements, also puts the existing relationship between the parties on a sound footing and lays the groundwork for further cooperation on transparent, mutually beneficial terms.

ORLEN has for the first time advanced to the final of the Platts Global Energy Awards, one of the most prestigious competitions in the global energy sector. In this year’s edition, the company has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Excellence in Energy – LNG’ category. The nomination highlights ORLEN’s growing role in the global liquefied natural gas market and recognises its consistent strategy of ensuring secure LNG supplies and expanding gas infrastructure.

ORLEN sets new standards for ESG transparency, joining global TNFD initiative

At the 30th UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Brazil, ORLEN joined a select group of companies and financial institutions committed to implementing the recommendations of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) in their non-financial reporting. As one of the first organisations in Poland to do so, ORLEN will include information on its nature-related impacts into the ESG disclosures.

ORLEN Group delivers strong operating profit in Q3 2025 and reports record investment

This year, the ORLEN Group has spent over PLN 21 billion on projects that enhance Poland’s long-term energy security, the highest level of investment in the Group’s history. In the third quarter, LIFO-based EBITDA reached nearly PLN 9 billion, and after the first nine months of the year it is already close to PLN 30 billion. The ORLEN Group has also paid a record dividend to its shareholders.

ORLEN’s second offshore wind farm moves a step closer: Baltic East secures environmental decision

ORLEN has taken another step towards building a strong offshore wind sector in Poland. The Baltic East project has received an environmental decision setting out the conditions for the development of an offshore wind farm, issued by the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Gdańsk (RDOŚ). The project will deliver approximately 1 GW of installed capacity, enough to supply more than 1.25 million households with clean energy.
