ORLEN to supply US gas to Ukraine. Agreement signed for 2026 deliveries

ORLEN and Naftogaz have signed an agreement setting out the framework for a future gas supply contract. The Polish company will deliver over 300 million cubic metres of gas to its Ukrainian partner. The fuel will originate from American LNG cargoes received by ORLEN. The agreement was signed during the Atlantic Council conference on Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation, which was also attended by Minister of Energy Miłosz Motyka and Deputy Minister Wojciech Wrochna.

Seabed surveys completed for the ORLEN Group’s next offshore wind farm

For nearly four months, preliminary seismic and geotechnical seabed surveys were carried out across the Baltic East offshore wind project area by three specialist units from a consortium of Polish companies: ORLEN Petrobaltic, Geofizyka Toruń and MEWO. During the campaign, a team of qualified researchers, technicians, and operators completed over one thousand kilometres of seismic lines, along with numerous soundings and boreholes. The data collected will enable ORLEN Neptun to develop the next key stages of the project.

ORLEN launches its first modern fast-charging hub for electric vehicles. A dozen more to open by year-end

ORLEN has commissioned its first modern fast-charging hub for electric vehicles under the ORLEN Charge network. The facility, located along the S7 expressway at the Olsztynek Południe Motorway Service Area, will allow drivers to charge their vehicles up to an optimal level three times faster than before – in approximately 20 minutes. The hub also features an advanced power-sharing system that automatically adjusts charging power to the needs of the engine, delivering up to 400 kW per charging point. By the end of this year, the Company plans to launch over a dozen additional hubs along motorways and expressways, including in Szczecin, Gorzów Wielkopolski and Nowy Dwór Gdański.

ORLEN VC joins the global premier league of innovation – the fund partners with Energy Impact Partners The first collaboration of its kind in Central Europe

ORLEN Group’s corporate venture capital fund, ORLEN VC, has invested in Energy Impact Partners (EIP) – one of the world’s leading venture capital funds supporting climate, energy, and industrial technologies. Through this investment, ORLEN VC joins Flagship Fund III, EIP’s principal investment vehicle backing innovations that accelerate the decarbonisation of the economy and the transformation of the energy, refining, and fuels sectors. The initiative forms part of ORLEN’s long-term strategy aimed at achieving net zero emissions by 2050.

Partnership for improved safety and security – agreement with the National Police Headquarters and PLN 15 million for equipment from the ORLEN Foundation

ORLEN and the National Police Headquarters are joining forces to protect critical infrastructure more effectively and counter emerging threats. To this end, the parties have signed a collaboration agreement covering coordination, education, and training. The partnership will, among other things, help develop capabilities for effective responses to physical and cyber threats and strengthen operational readiness to safeguard ORLEN Group assets. Complementing these efforts is a PLN 15 million donation from the ORLEN Foundation to purchase vehicles for the Police. The funds will help the services responsible for public safety perform this mission even more effectively.

Power from the Baltic draws nearer: key component installed at the Baltic Power offshore wind farm

Baltic Power, a joint venture between ORLEN and Canada’s Northland Power, has completed the installation of two offshore substations, each weighing 2,500 tonnes. These are a key element of Poland’s first offshore wind farm and will collect the electricity generated by the turbines and transmit it to shore. Parts of both substations were manufactured at facilities in Gdynia and Gdańsk.

ORLEN secures PLN 3.5 billion from the National Recovery Plan for offshore wind development

In line with its strategy, ORLEN is consistently expanding low- and zero-emission generation capacities, materially strengthening the energy security of Poland and the wider region. A key pillar of these efforts is investment in offshore wind. To advance these projects, the Group has secured PLN 3.5 billion from the National Recovery Plan (KPO) under agreements signed with Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK).

ORLEN strengthens hydrogen capabilities in Pomerania with expert advisory support for Amber Hydrogen Valley

The Amber Hydrogen Valley project, launched by ORLEN in collaboration with more than 30 domestic and international partners, has been selected to receive expert advisory support through Project Development Assistance Plus (PDA plus) services coordinated by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership. The support, covering technical, commercial and regulatory expertise, will help optimise project development costs and guide the project through steps needed to reach final investment decision (FID).

ORLEN Group integrates logistics services

Polish and Czech rail and transport companies within the ORLEN Group have finalised the consolidation process. ORLEN Kolej has acquired ORLEN Unipetrol Doprava, a company specialising in the transport of chemical products, while ORLEN Transport has taken over Petrotrans, one of the largest road fuel carriers in the Czech Republic. The transactions will strengthen the Group’s transport security in the refining and petrochemical sectors and unlock synergies in logistics, reinforcing the Group’s position in Europe.
