Strong year for the ORLEN Group: solid results underpinned by record investments

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the ORLEN Group delivered LIFO-based EBITDA of PLN 12.2 billion, underscoring robust operational efficiency. For the full year, the Group reported EBITDA of PLN 41.9 billion and net profit of PLN 11.2 billion, a marked increase y/y. Its solid financial condition, reflected in more than a twofold year-on-year rise in ORLEN’s market capitalisation, made it possible to allocate PLN 32.6 billion to investments that enhance energy supply security and advance the development of modern zero- and low-carbon energy sources.

All foundations installed as Baltic Power moves closer to completion

The installation of all 78 foundations, called monopiles, has been completed at Poland’s first offshore wind farm. More than 20 vessels, along with 500 crew members and contractor representatives, have been involved in the offshore construction campaign. Baltic Power, a joint project between the ORLEN Group and Northland Power, is now progressing to its next phase. Electricity generated in the Baltic Sea is set to be supplied to the grid by the end of this year.

ORLEN expands LPG import and storage capacities

ORLEN Paliwa has completed a major investment project at the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Terminal in Szczecin. Following the expansion, the terminal’s storage capacity has been doubled and the volume it can handle has increased by nearly 65%, reaching 400 thousand tonnes of LPG annually. The project, valued at over PLN 150 million, will enhance the security and reliability of ORLEN’s LPG supply chain, serving both its customers and fuel station network. The entire project was executed by a consortium of Polish companies.

ORLEN invests in advanced electrolysers

ORLEN Venture Capital (“ORLEN VC”) has invested in Hystar, a Norwegian manufacturer of high-efficiency proton-exchange-membrane (PEM) electrolysers for large-scale, zero-emission hydrogen production. Hystar’s patented design uses membranes up to ten times thinner than those in conventional units, materially improving efficiency and lowering the cost of hydrogen generation. The technology dovetails with ORLEN’s programme to produce and deploy renewable hydrogen as part of the Group’s wider energy-transition strategy.

ORLEN and Equinor to collaborate on CCS technology

ORLEN, in partnership with Norway’s Equinor – one of Europe’s largest energy companies – will explore opportunities within Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) technology. The management boards of both companies have just signed a collaboration agreement, its scope covering the transport and storage of carbon dioxide (CO₂) in Poland. The solution will reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, supporting the decarbonization of industry.

Major Modernisation Programme for Poland’s Energy Networks

Energa Operator, a member of the ORLEN Group, has secured above PLN 7,5 billion from the National Recovery Plan to fund the largest power grid modernisation and digitalisation initiative in the company’s history, covering northern and central Poland. The project involves upgrading and constructing a total of 21,000 kilometres of power lines, which will enhance the country’s energy security and ultimately lower energy costs for end-users. A key component of this initiative is the planned integration of 9 GW of renewable energy sources, characterised by low variable production costs, along with energy storage facilities. The programme will also enable 200,000 new prosumers to connect to the grid. The total value of the programme, extending through 2035, amounts to PLN 40 billion.

Baltic Power wind farm completes first onshore connection

In the Lubiatowo area, the first of four directional drills under the coastline, beach, and seabed has been successfully completed, with no direct impact on areas of high ecological value. This phase of the project paves the way for connecting the Baltic Power offshore wind farm to its onshore substation. The 1.4 km tunnel will house power transmission cables. The drilling was conducted using HDD (horizontal directional drilling) technology.
