ORLEN secures record-breaking EIB financing to drive energy transition

ORLEN has signed a third financing agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to support the expansion of its electricity distribution network. The new PLN 1.7 billion agreement brings the total funding secured from the EIB to PLN 3.5 billion, making it the largest financial support package the Bank has granted in Poland. The funds will be invested by Energa Operator, an ORLEN Group company, to enhance the security and efficiency of electricity supplies and increase the potential for integrating renewable energy sources.

ORLEN to supply US LNG to Ukraine

ORLEN and Naftogaz of Ukraine have signed a natural gas supply contract, securing deliveries for Ukrainian consumers already in April. This is the second contract executed under the cooperation agreement established between the two companies earlier this year. The gas will be sourced from the United States.

ORLEN to supply gas to Ukraine

ORLEN and Naftogaz have signed a memorandum of cooperation in LNG sector. Its implementation will allow Ukraine to create a more diversified supply of this strategic commodity. The first outcome of the agreement is a transaction to sell gas derived from the regasification of an LNG cargo by ORLEN.

ORLEN Group reports record-high natural gas production from own reserves in 2024

In 2024, the ORLEN Group’s natural gas production across its operations in Poland and abroad reached 8.6 billion cubic meters, marking a 20% growth year on year. The Group’s revised strategy targets an increase in gas production volumes to 12 billion cubic meters by 2030, with plans to sustain this level through 2035.

ORLEN Group to expand its network with over 200 new fast charging points

ORLEN Deutschland, an ORLEN Group company, is set to roll out more than 200 fast charging points under the ORLEN Charge brand at a minimum of 30 key locations across Germany. This project, to be executed in collaboration with May & Co. Holding and scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, is part of the Group’s broader plans to drive the growth of electromobility, with the aim of establishing 6,000 fast-charging points in Poland and approximately 2,500 in foreign markets over the next decade.

The report assesses the progress of the energy transition in the region and identifies opportunities for collaboration to accelerate decarbonisation efforts. It outlines specific areas of cooperation and their expected outcomes, following an in-depth analysis of conditions across eight countries: Poland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

ORLEN maintains a strong credit rating from Fitch Ratings

ORLEN continues to strengthen its financial position and credibility among investors. This is validated by Fitch Ratings, which has affirmed the company’s Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at 'BBB+'. The Outlook is Stable. The agency primarily highlights the benefits stemming from consistent diversification and expansion of operational scale, as well as the maintenance of solid and stable financial fundamentals.

ORLEN and Equinor to collaborate on CCS technology

ORLEN, in partnership with Norway’s Equinor – one of Europe’s largest energy companies – will explore opportunities within Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) technology. The management boards of both companies have just signed a collaboration agreement, its scope covering the transport and storage of carbon dioxide (CO₂) in Poland. The solution will reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, supporting the decarbonization of industry.

Strong profit and record-high dividend from the ORLEN Group

The ORLEN Group posted a net profit of PLN 4.6 billion in the fourth quarter of 2024, marking a fivefold increase year on year. ORLEN’s Management Board has recommended a record-breaking dividend of PLN 6 per share. Operational excellence across all business segments was key to the Group’s solid performance this past quarter.
